Raw Honey vs. Store Honey: What’s Actually Different

The difference is not always obvious from the label. Raw honey is minimally handled, while large-scale commercial honey may be heated and finely filtered for consistency and shelf stability.

What Bloom & Buzz does

We extract, lightly strain, and jar our honey without ultrafiltration or additives. The pollen remains, crystallization is expected, and flavor changes with the forage.

Meet Charolette: A New Queen Bee at Bloom & Buzz

Charolette arrived mated, proven, and ready to lead a West Tennessee colony that had struggled to raise its own queen after a split.

Her introduction gave the hive a path forward. She is laying, the colony is settling, and the brood nest is rebuilding.

What’s Blooming in Carroll County Right Now

Carroll County spring honey begins in a yellow field. Canola surrounding the apiary provides an early, concentrated nectar and pollen source while colonies are building rapidly.

What it means for the honey

Canola produces light, mild honey that crystallizes quickly. The harvest records a short, place-specific bloom rather than a blend of regions and seasons.
